Microsoft has launched yet another affordable smaprtphone in the market today. The Lumia 430 Dual SIM is the company’s most affordable smartphone till date. At just $70 (approximately RS. 4480 in India without the taxes and subsidies), Lumia 430 is the cheapest phone from Lumia. So finally, Lumia 430 has been launched in India and the device is available in orange and black colors. Another highlight of this smartphone is that it can easily be upgraded to Windows 10. While the price may come as a happy surprise to many, the phone doesn’t compromise on specifications. Here is all you need to know about the latest offering from Lumia.

Software and Hardware Specifications

The Microsoft Lumia 430 runs on Windows 8.1 with its Lumia Denim update. The 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) LCD displays has a resolution of 235 ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM. The 8GB internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, the Lumia 430 also comes with 30GB of free One Drive cloud storage. The phone doesn’t score much on cameras- it only has merely 2mp fixed focus rear camera and a VGA 0.3 MP front camera, which doesn’t quite suit the selfie obsessed generation.

It offers various connectivity options such as 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other standard connectivity options that are available in smartphones. It also comes with a built-in accelerometer, ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor. The replaceable 1500 mah battery offers a standby of 19 days and a talk-time of 12.9 hours.

The Smart Dual SIM feature lets you assign unique profiles to both your SIM cards. Microsoft has yet again come up with a different kind of marketing strategy which has been called “knockout on wheels”. This initiative aims to showcase the superior hardware and software of the Lumia 430 across 200 cities in India. According to Microsoft, this s the first time Windows Phoneexperience will reach tier 3 and tier 4 towns in India.

Starting today, the Lumia 430 is available in two colors namely orange and black and at a price tag of Rs. 5,299 in India along with 500 MB of free data for two months.
