In the last couple of years, many Chinese OEMs have paved way into the Indian market. Gionee is one of them and even though its smartphones aren’t the most talked about, they certainly do not fare less to their competitors. The Elife S7 that was launched in the first week of April happens with a price tag of Rs. 22,500 is one such high end device. The beautiful looking smartphone is only 5.5 mm thick, which makes it one of the slimmest smartphones in the world. The metal and glass design gives it a high-end finish which adds to its style. It would be fair to say it is quite a sight for sore eyes. The phone definitely earns points in the design department. Though there isn’t much to its design but the careful touch of glass combined with metal have made the phone look stylish and good. It looks like a continuous slab of metal with Gorilla Glass 3 on both sides. To add to it, it is only 5.5 mm in thickness which makes it look even better.


It comes with an impressive hardware but not the only one to boast of the same. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor which is a plus because it is the best chip yet from MediaTek. It is supported by 2GB of RAM which doesn’t quite please us gives its high-end tag. The 5.2 inch Super AMOLED full HD display makes up for what it lacks in hardware. Moreover, the phone doesn’t heat up like its competitors from the same country.


Camera and Battery

The Elife S7 comes with a 13 MP IMX214 sensor from Sony which says all that is needed to be said. The camera can take impressive photos and it also features a professional mode where you can manually adjust the parameters. Let’s just say that the camera is an absolute delight! It comes with a 2750mAh battery which doesn’t sound like much but it can survive a day on a single charge. However, a lot also depends upon how you use it.
