It is made of aeronautical grade aluminum which provides it a very light feel. It is available in three types- aluminum, graphite and frost which land this smartphone a very premium vibe. Just like the Nexus 5X, this too comes with the fingerprint sensor known as the Nexus Imprint. It is located on the back of the smartphone and the fingerprint scanner will not only unlock the device but will also act as an in-app verification system. Google Nexus 5 X Specification & Review

At the Nexus launch last night, Google surprised everyone with the advent of not just one but two Nexus devices this year. Following the trends of the power players of the smartphone world- Apple and Samsung, both of which introduced top of the line hot new smartphones in recent weeks- Google too has come up with its very own version of big smartphone, the Huawei made Nexus 6P and a smaller and cheaper model, the LG Nexus 5X.

The Best Deal

All those of us who absolytely adored the Nexus 5 will see ourselves falling for Nexus 5X as well. It retains all the smartness and solid built of its predecessor the Nexus 5. The latest Google Nexus 5X has a distinct plastic feel and is as light as a feather. But do not let the plastic feel bother you much because even the so called-smart glass and metal phones didn’t deliver. The Nexus 5X not only looks great but also feels great. Unlike its glass and metal competitors, you don’t have to worry about smudging or scuffing it.
The Google Nexus offers top notch performance at an affordable price. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 processor and comes packed with powerful specifications that take care of all your needs without tacking any frills. The Nexus 5X has a 1080p display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 12 megapixel camera that can shoot videos up to 4K.The other exciting features of Nexus 5X will be based on Android Marshmallow which will figure in this smartphone.
The most important upgrade to the Nexus 5X is the finger print sensor on the back, whose position has been appreciated by many. Touted as the Nexus Imprint by Google, it is in line with Samsung, Apple and many other smartphone manufacturers that are taking smartphone security to a higher level. It only takes 600 ms for Nexus Imprint to recognize your fingerprint. According to Google, it gets better over time as it learns more about your fingerprints with each use.
The 16 GB Nexus 5X is available for $379 in the US while the 32 GB version is available for $430. Currently it is available in US, Canada, Ireland, UK, Korea and Japan. It will be shipped off to 40 more countries after 19th October.

Sony Xperia Z5 Specification and Review

Sony has recently launched the Xperia Z5 along with two other variants- the Z5 Premium and Xperia Z5 compact. The phones are expected to arrive in shelves by October this year. The device will be available in four colors: Silver-White, Graphite-Black, Matt Green and Fir Green and can be ordered from Sony’s website.

Build and Design

If you know Sony or have been using it for quite some time, you wouldn’t be shocked to know that he Xperia Z5 hasn’t changed much from the Sony Xperia lineup and looks a lot like Xperia Z3+. The power button is now smaller and has an ‘Xperia’ stamp over it. The volume keys have moved closer to the dedicated shutter button because the power button now has a fingerprint scanner.

The Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2 inch Full HD IPS LCD display much like its other devices. So the resolution and pixel density remain the same. However, the 4K display and its quality are undeniable. Some users might not like the excessive saturation but the nicely balanced and sharp colors and images are definitely a plus and offer good outdoor visibility. It comes with great viewing angles and the touch recognition has further been optimized to recognize wet touch. It still won’t work underwater but you will not have to dry off a partially wet screen.

The Sony Xperia Z5 is the successor to Sony’s Xperia Z3+ and offers a waterproof design, IP65/IP68 dust-tight and a cap-less USB port. However, at the same time Sony has also advised its users to keep the phone away from water. The user interface is quite the same and not much has changed. It is powered by a 64 bit, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and supported by a 3GB RAM. The 32 GB internal storage can be expanded up to 200 GB via a microSD card.

In terms of snappers, Sony Xperia Z5 seems to have an upgrade. The smartphone now has a 23 MP Exmor sensor with super-fast auto focus of only 0.03 seconds. The enhanced camera module now utilizes a hybrid image stabilizer.

It is quite certain that the Sony Xperia Z5 is just an enhanced version of the Xperia Z3+. Even if the software update for Z3+ is as good as Sony claims it is, the gap will shrink even more. Considering these factors, it might be hard to justify buying the Xperia Z5 just for better camera and a finger print scanner.

Apple iPhone 6s

As everyone waited with bated breaths, Apple finally unveiled its latest iPhone 6s at its annual launch event in San Francisco. As expected, the Apple iPhone 6s looks like last year’s iPhone 6 but the most important changes are in hardware. However, as far as looks are concerned, it is available in a new color called ‘rose gold’ which basically looks a little bluish-pink. But this change in the shade is the only change you can spot between Apple iPhone 6 and the recently launched iPhone 6s.However, the emphasis is on the hardware and Apple has long followed the tradition of hardware upgrades over design development.

Build and Design

According to Apple, the iPhone 6s does look similar to last year’s iPhone 6 but the latest model possesses more internal strength. The chassis used for making the Apple iPhone 6s is a different grade of aluminum, the one that is used in aerospace. The same grade of aluminum is also used in Apple Watch Sport. The company hopes this solves the ‘Bendgate’ crisis that happened last year where customers companied that smartphones ‘bent’ after being sat on. A new and more strengthened glass also tops the latest smartphone.Though the company hasn’t confirmed if this belong to Corning Glass line.

The ‘Force’ Touch

Apple iPhone 6s comes with a variation if Force Touch which can be found on the Apple Watch and some Mac trackpads. The pressure-sensitive touch is also known as 3D touch and can call secondary actions and menus when you press and hold the screen.

New Hardware

The most important upgrade is the hardware upgrade of the iPhone 6s which include upgraded front and rear cameras and video capability. It comes with a 12 Megapixel camera which is quite a leap for Apple given how it has stuck to 8MP cameras in its previous handsets. The 12 MP rear camera’s autofocus will pick up pace and the color accuracy is marvelous. The 5MP front camera is again something to be proud of. But instead of a dedicated flash that most phones offer, Apple uses the home screen to light up instead which increases brightness for selfies.

It will run on iOS 9 including all the software enhancements including a smarter Siri, upgraded OS, low power mode and a long battery life.

Wammy Neo 3 with Android 5.1

The Indian smartphone and tablet maker WickedLeak has introduced its new budget smartphone called Wammy Neo 3 in the Indian market. Priced at just Rs. 14,990 the device is available on pre-booking. The all new Wammy Neo 3 has been dubbed as the most affordable octa-core smartphone at this price. The device is aimed at providing premium devices at extremely competitive prices to the consumers. At the same time, the consumers would also get latest specifications such as 3GB DDR3 RAM and 64 bit processor.

The recently released Wammy Neo 3 is powered by a 1.7 GHz 64 bit Octa-Core processor and backed by a 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM. The smartphone also comes equipped with Mali T760 GPU which makes playing high-end games a wonderful experience. It runs on Android 5.1. It comes with Dual micro SIM Band with 4G support which enables users to use any 4G network provider in India and across the globe.

The smartphone packs in a great display with 5.5 inch screen and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolutions with a pixel density of 401ppi. The OGS IPS display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. What’s more fascinating is that you don’t have to worry about drying your hands or taking off your gloves before making touch gestures on its screen. The smartphone’s touch-screen supports wet touch and glove touch. In addition to it, the Wammy Neo 3 comes 14 megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensors and a 4.9 megapixels front camera, both of which can click amazing photos. The 16 GB internal memory can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The smartphone has an ergonomically curved back panel to enhance grip and support and has a matte finish. Other features include gesture control to change songs, click pictures, answer phone calls and browse gallery.

Even though Wammy Neo 3 from WickedLeak might be the most affordable octa-core smartphone in a budget range, most of the consumers are unaware of this brand. Not just that, it also fails to provide a good user experience provided the specification the smartphone boasts of. The design and build quality of Wammy Neo 3 fail to impress.

The Samsung Galaxy S series keeps getting g bigger and better with every passing year. The trend continues to see updates in its previous generations and the much anticipated smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4 from the Korean Giant follows the same pattern with its high end features and enviable design. One good thing about S4 is that the size hasn’t changed from its predecessor and there is no extra heft to try and work with in your palm. If you have owned the S series in the past, S4 would feel quite a t home.

Build and Design

Much to Samsung’s disappointment the S3 didn’t fare well as far as looks were concerned. But thankfully with S4, Samsung has come to its senses by ditching the ‘Designed for humans’ playbook. The S4 comes in a candy bar form sans the tapering edges of S3. This gives it a uniform look and a good feeling upon being held. The ergonomic design works well in everybody’s favor. And given the 5 inch screen, the smartphone feels much lighter. S4 comes with a lot of sensors such as humidity sensor, temperature sensor, barometer and an IR sensor. Other than these, it also has an active noise cancellation.

For starters, the S4 comes with a full HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and TouchWiz. The skin hasn’t changed much albeit a few additions. It is bombarded with a lot of features which eat up about 8GB of the internal 16GB available. The features like Smart scroll, smart pause, air gesture and air view are quite gimmicky but fasinating at the same time.

Media and Battery

When it comes to media, Samsung never disappoints. Much like others in the flagship, the S4 too excels in audio playback. The 13 MP BSI sensor camera will keep the photo enthusiasts happy and clicking. The quad-band GSM handset offers 3G and Wi-Fi support. It covers all your connectivity options including an IR port that works as remote for IR based home entertainment devices. The 2600 mAh battery can easily last for up to 8 hours and a lot also depends on how you use it.

Gionee Elife S7

In the last couple of years, many Chinese OEMs have paved way into the Indian market. Gionee is one of them and even though its smartphones aren’t the most talked about, they certainly do not fare less to their competitors. The Elife S7 that was launched in the first week of April happens with a price tag of Rs. 22,500 is one such high end device. The beautiful looking smartphone is only 5.5 mm thick, which makes it one of the slimmest smartphones in the world. The metal and glass design gives it a high-end finish which adds to its style. Here is more to the stylish Gionee Elife S7 .

It would be fair to say it is quite a sight for sore eyes. The phone definitely earns points in the design department. Though there isn’t much to its design but the careful touch of glass combined with metal have made the phone look stylish and good. It looks like a continuous slab of metal with Gorilla Glass 3 on both sides. To add to it, it is only 5.5 mm in thickness which makes it look even better.

It comes with an impressive hardware but not the only one to boast of the same. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor which is a plus because it is the best chip yet from MediaTek. It is supported by 2GB of RAM which doesn’t quite please us gives its high-end tag. The 5.2 inch Super AMOLED full HD display makes up for what it lacks in hardware. Moreover, the phone doesn’t heat up like its competitors from the same country.

Camera and Battery

The Elife S7 comes with a 13 MP IMX214 sensor from Sony which says all that is needed to be said. The camera can take impressive photos and it also features a professional mode where you can manually adjust the parameters. Let’s just say that the camera is an absolute delight! It comes with a 2750mAh battery which doesn’t sound like much but it can survive a day on a single charge. However, a lot also depends upon how you use it.

As soon as LG announced the global release of LG G4 in May this year, it came up with another follow up news to tempt its consumers. So it recently released its G4 stylus in the Indian market at a price tag ofRs 24,990.

Even the processor has been upgraded to a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and it is known to support 4G LTE.
